1   Link   Discovery Counseling Center
Discovery is a community based non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the well being and quality of life for individuals and families in the greater San Ramon Valley Community. They are committed to providing affordable and high-quality mental health services, improving bonding and healthy communication in families and preventing drug and alcohol problems.
2   Link   SRV Community Against Substance Abuse
CASA facilitates youth-led, adult-guided effective drug and alcohol abuse prevention support to teens in the San Ramon Valley. CASA sponsors a Community Advisory Board (CAB), where teens can be of support to each other while standing up for their values. CASA also sponsors Red Ribbon Week, which helps to heighten awareness about the dangers of substance abuse. CASA also holds their annual Youth to Youth Conference, where teens attend informative workshops and participate in fun, interactive activities.
3   Link   Teen Esteem
The goal of Teen Esteem is to equip, educate and empower teens, parents,educators and the community on issues related to teens and adolescent health. This is done through classroom presentations, school-wide assemblies, parent education and by working with local community groups to provide the best support and education possible to encourage healthy decision making skills in teens.
4   Link   Troy & Alana Pack Foundation
Our goal is to help educate the public about traffic safety and responsibility, to promulgate legislation for traffic safety, and to help implement enforcement of those laws. This will be accomplished through the creation and passing of stricter DUI and DMV laws and enforcement through the California State Legislature. We are working to bring about new public policies on both the state and national levels.
5   Link   Sacramento Youth Drug and Alcohol Coalition
The Sacramento Youth Drug and Alcohol Coalition was formed in November of 2007 to develop community level prevention strategies targeting teen alcohol use. Building on years of stakeholder experience and the strength of collaboration, the coalition brings together existing prevention organizations that have the power to make a difference in the lives of our area's youth.
6   Link   Medicine Abuse Project
The Partnership at Drugfree.org has initiated “The Medicine Abuse Project,” a multi-year effort to raise awareness and curb the abuse of medicine by teens and young adults. The campaign will encourage and help parents and the public-at-large to help manage this problem, working toward the common goal of preventing 500,000 teens from abusing medicine within the next five years. Their website provides a comprehensive collection of resources for parents/grandparents, health care providers, communities, law enforcement and educators.
